Design: a return to the glass camera bar
The camera bar drops its metal strip. The whole visor goes back to a full-glass finish, closer to the Pixel 6’s original camera bar than last year’s. On the Pro and Pro Fold, the LED flash reportedly does double duty as an RGB notification light, tied into that “Pixel Glow” feature for Gemini alerts and priority contacts.

The Midnight Haze Pro variant is reportedly the first fully matte Pro finish, matte frame and matte glass back together, rather than Google’s usual matte-back-glossy-frame combo. Base models pair a matte frame with a glossy glass back.
Tensor G6: the chip story
TSMC fabricates the Tensor G6 on a 2nm process, a first for any shipping smartphone chip and a notable beat over Apple to that milestone. The core configuration shifts to 1+4+2:

That’s a price increase across the board versus the Pixel 10 generation, partially offset by the doubled base storage. Expect the usual trade-in promotions and possible Google One/Gemini subscription bundles at launch, Google hasn’t detailed those yet.
Shipping is the one piece of genuinely good news in the leaks: Pixel 11, Pro, and Pro XL are expected to ship starting August 20, just over a week after the announcement.
