This policy covers every Android app published by The Tech Basket: AI Prompt Studio, AppDose, Crispy Walls, Drift, My UPI QR, SlapDroid, Splash it, Splash it Pro, TimeLeft and Blob Stickers. Our philosophy is simple: your content stays on your device, we do not run user accounts, and we do not sell or share personal data.
1. What we do not collect
None of our apps ask for your name, email address, phone number or precise location. None of them have sign-up or login. None of them upload your photos, files, notes, goals, scans or settings to our servers. None of them are directed at children.
2. Data that stays on your device
- AppDose: app usage stats read through Android’s Usage Access permission, plus your settings. Processed on the device only.
- TimeLeft: birth date, life expectancy, financial (FIRE) inputs and goals. Stored locally only.
- My UPI QR: the UPI IDs and QR codes you create, and your app lock setting. Camera frames are scanned on the device (Google ML Kit) and are never uploaded.
- Drift: your sessions, progress and preferences.
- SlapDroid: sensor readings (accelerometer, proximity, USB and volume state) are used live to trigger sounds and are not stored or sent anywhere.
- AI Prompt Studio: your saved prompts and favorites.
3. What our apps send over the network
- AI Prompt Studio downloads the prompt library from our server (aistudio.thetechbasket.com). When you copy a prompt, the app sends the ID of that prompt, a count of +1 and a timestamp. No device or personal identifier is attached. This is used to see which prompts are popular.
- Crispy Walls and Splash it / Splash it Pro download wallpaper lists and images from our servers. Crispy Walls also receives push notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging.
- Blob Stickers downloads sticker packs from our content server and hands them to WhatsApp when you add a pack. We do not see your WhatsApp data.
- AppDose, SlapDroid, TimeLeft and My UPI QR do not need to contact our servers to work.
4. Third-party services
- Google Analytics for Firebase (AI Prompt Studio, AppDose, Crispy Walls, TimeLeft): anonymous usage events such as screens viewed or features tapped. It may use the Android advertising ID (the AD_ID permission). You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings.
- Firebase Crashlytics (TimeLeft): crash reports with device model and OS version, to fix bugs.
- Google AdMob (Crispy Walls): the app contains an ad integration with consent handling for users in regions that require it. Ads are currently switched off. If we turn them on, Google may use the advertising ID for ad delivery, and you will be asked for consent where the law requires it.
- Google Play Billing (AppDose, Drift, SlapDroid, TimeLeft, Splash it and Pro donations): purchases are processed by Google Play. We never see or store your payment details.
- RevenueCat and Google Play Games (Drift): RevenueCat manages credit purchases and entitlements. Play Games handles optional game services. Both have their own privacy policies.
- WhatsApp (Blob Stickers, My UPI QR): if you choose to share, content is passed to WhatsApp under WhatsApp’s own policy.
5. Permissions
We ask only for what a feature needs.
- Internet and network state: download wallpapers, prompts and sticker packs (Crispy Walls, Splash it, AI Prompt Studio, Blob Stickers, Drift, My UPI QR). AppDose and SlapDroid do not request internet access.
- Usage Access and Display over other apps (AppDose): to show how long you spend in each app and to show its overlay. This data never leaves your phone.
- Camera (My UPI QR): to scan QR codes. Not used for anything else.
- Notifications: AI Prompt Studio, AppDose and SlapDroid (reminders and service status), Crispy Walls (news about new wallpapers).
- Foreground service and Run at startup: AppDose and SlapDroid, so tracking and sound features keep working.
- Set wallpaper (Crispy Walls, Splash it, TimeLeft) and Storage (Crispy Walls): to apply and save wallpapers.
- Vibrate, Modify audio settings: haptic and sound feedback (AppDose, Drift).
- Biometric (My UPI QR): optional app lock using your device fingerprint or face unlock. Biometric data is handled by Android and never reaches the app.
You can revoke any permission in Android settings at any time. The related feature will stop working.
6. Retention and your choices
Data on your device is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its storage. Analytics data held by Google follows Google’s retention settings. Because we cannot identify you from what we receive, we hold no personal data to export or delete. If you have a question, email [email protected].
7. Children’s privacy
Our apps are for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13, and since your content stays on your device, we have no mechanism to view it.
8. Security
Network requests use HTTPS. Sensitive local settings, such as the My UPI QR app lock, use Android’s own protections.
9. Changes to this policy
When an app changes what it collects, we update this page and the date above. Please check back from time to time.
