GTA 6 on PC: What Take-Two Has Said and How Long the Wait Is

Grand Theft Auto VI launches on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and Take-Two has not announced a PC version. There is no Steam page, no Epic Games Store listing, and no Rockstar Games Launcher page for it, so there is nothing to pre-order or wishlist on PC today.

That is the part most PC players miss. The wait is not a delayed port of a promised release, it is a product that has not been announced at all. What Take-Two has said, and what Rockstar's own history shows, are the only two things you can plan around.

What Take-Two Has Actually Said About a PC Version

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick was asked about PC at the company's annual general meeting on September 17, 2026. The question was whether the PS5 Pro shortage was changing the company's PC release cadence, per a September 17, 2026 report. Zelnick did not answer that directly.

He said the PC platform is "becoming more and more important to our company over time," per the AGM transcript on StockAnalysis, September 17, 2026. He did not give a date or a window, and he did not confirm that a PC version is in development.

Earlier, in May 2026, Zelnick told Bloomberg that Rockstar always starts on console to serve its core consumer, and that PC can account for 45 to 50 percent of a big title's total sales, per a May 4, 2026 report. On the May 2026 earnings call he said "virtually all of our hit titles end up on all platforms over time," per a May 22, 2026 report.

Read together, those comments point to a PC release eventually. None of them names one.

How Long Rockstar's Last Two PC Ports Took

The two most relevant precedents come from Rockstar's own flagship releases. Both dates are from Take-Two's investor releases.

GTA V arrived about 19 months after its console launch. Red Dead Redemption 2 took about 12.5 months. Rockstar has not said which pattern GTA 6 will follow. If it follows RDR2, PC lands in late 2027. If it follows GTA V, PC slips into 2028.

The Corsair Claim and the Press Hint

Corsair said on a Q4 2024 earnings call that GTA 6 would reach PC in early 2026. The company retracted the claim almost immediately and called it speculation, per a February 21, 2025 report. The console date has since moved to November 2026, which rules that window out entirely.

A games-press editor, Andy Robinson, said the PC version might arrive "sooner than you may expect," as reported on September 17, 2026. That is a reporter's read, not a Rockstar statement.

What the Earliest Realistic PC Window Looks Like

PCWorld ran the port-gap math on September 15, 2026 and landed on "late 2027 to late 2028." The same piece notes the author's personal guess of before the end of 2027. These are outlet estimates, not dates from Rockstar.

One thing that could shorten the gap: PS5 and Xbox Series X|S share a modern x86 base with PC, so the porting work is less exotic than the PS3-to-PC jump GTA V needed. One thing that could lengthen it: GTA 6 is a single-player title with "no recurrent consumer spending anticipated with regard to this launch," per the September 17, 2026 AGM. Without a live-service mode to feed, Take-Two has less immediate pressure to widen the platform base.
