Halloween is the busiest month of the year on Roblox. Almost every top game ships a spooky update in October, usually with a candy currency, limited pets or skins, and sometimes a round of new codes to celebrate.
The trouble is that each game drops its event on a different day, and the dates are scattered across Discord servers and X posts. This page puts them in one list. For each game you get what last year's event looked like, when the 2026 update is likely to land, and a link to our codes page for that game, which we check daily.
Last checked: September 26, 2026. No big game has announced its 2026 Halloween date yet. We update this page as each one is confirmed, and move games from "expected" to "live".
- Most Roblox Halloween updates land on Saturdays in mid to late October. Last year the busiest day was October 18.
- Adopt Me! usually goes first (early October). Blox Fruits, Forsaken and Arsenal usually go last (around Halloween itself).
- Roblox also runs a platform-wide event with free avatar items. In 2025 it was the Halloween Spotlight, October 23 to November 3.
- Most games give event currency, not codes. When a Halloween code does drop, it goes on that game's codes page first.
- No 2026 dates are confirmed yet. The dates below are estimates based on 2024 and 2025.

The Roblox platform Halloween event
On top of each game's own update, Roblox runs one event across the whole platform. It is the easiest way to get free Halloween avatar items without spending Robux.
- 2024: The Haunt (October 24 to November 1, 2024). A hub with portals into the games taking part, a costume photo contest, and free UGC items for voting and finishing tasks in games.
- 2025: Halloween Spotlight (October 23 to November 3, 2025). A hub called the Cursed Clearing linked to about 31 games, including Adopt Me!, Dress to Impress, DOORS, 99 Nights in the Forest and Dead Rails. Each game had a normal quest and a harder elite quest. Free items included Wealdroot Wings, the Entrancing Scythe and the Cursed Lantern, with a limited grand prize for finishing everything.
- 2026: not announced yet. Based on the last two years, expect it in the last full week of October. Roblox has just run The Hunt: Roblox 20 (September 17 to 28, 2026), so the Halloween event will follow that.
Platform event items are free, but some are limited stock or only claimable during the event window. Do the quests in the first few days, and only claim items from the official hub or the game itself. Sites and YouTube videos offering "free Robux" or item generators for the Halloween event are scams.
When do Roblox Halloween updates come out?
Most big Roblox games update on a fixed day of the week, and Halloween follows the same rhythm. From the 2025 events:
- Saturday is the big day. Grow a Garden, Murder Mystery 2, Pet Simulator 99, Dress to Impress, Fisch, Dead Rails, 99 Nights in the Forest and Tower Defense Simulator all started their events on a Saturday, most of them on October 18.
- Friday is second. Adopt Me!, Brookhaven, Blox Fruits, Forsaken and Arsenal usually update on Fridays.
- Start times are usually morning US time. Blox Fruits and Fisch have launched at 8 to 9 AM PT (evening in India, around 9:30 PM IST), Brookhaven at 10 AM PT.
- Late starters. Blox Fruits, Forsaken and Arsenal waited until Halloween itself last year. If you play those, do not expect an event in early October.
For 2026 the likely Saturdays are October 17, October 24 and October 31. Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, so late-October events may cluster on October 30 and 31.
Do Roblox Halloween events have codes?
Sometimes, but less often than people expect. In 2025 almost every big game paid out Halloween rewards through event currency (candy, pumpkins, candy corn) that you earn by playing, not through codes.
When a game does release a Halloween code, it usually comes with the update or when the game hits a like or player milestone during the event. Those codes tend to be short-lived, often a week or two. That is why we link each game's codes page instead of copying codes here: those pages are checked daily, so an expired code gets moved to the expired list quickly.
To redeem a code in most games:
- Open the game and look for a Codes, Shop or Settings button (often a gear or a Twitter bird icon).
- Type or paste the code exactly as written. Codes are often case-sensitive.
- Press Redeem or Enter. If it fails, check for a missing capital letter or a space at the end.
How to get the most from Roblox Halloween
- Join the game's official Discord or follow its X account. Most games announce the exact start time 24 to 48 hours ahead.
- Log in in the first weekend. Candy currency is easiest to farm early, and some games double it on Halloween weekend (Adopt Me! gave +20% candy last year).
- Spend your event currency before the event ends. In most games candy does not carry over, with Royale High a known exception.
- Check the Roblox platform event hub for free avatar items as soon as it opens.
- Bookmark the codes page for your game so you catch short-lived Halloween codes.
