Xbox Game Pass October 2026: Battlefield 6 and 8 More

Xbox posted its first Game Pass update for October 2026 on Xbox Wire on October 7, and it is a big one. Battlefield 6 joins the library on October 13, seven of the nine incoming games are day one releases, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 leaves on October 15 along with eight other games.

That announcement is why "game pass games" is trending in the US today. Here is everything coming, which Game Pass plan you need for each game, and what you have one week left to finish.

Games Coming to Game Pass in October 2026

Xbox lists every game with its platforms and the plans that include it. "Console" means Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, "Handheld" means the game is verified for Xbox handhelds such as the ROG Xbox Ally, and "Cloud" means you can stream it without downloading.

Dates and plans are from Xbox Wire's October 7 post. Xbox usually adds a second batch of games in the second half of the month, so this list will grow.

The Games Worth Knowing About

Battlefield 6 (October 13)

The headline addition. Battlefield 6 is EA's large-scale military shooter, and it joins Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on October 13 with cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC support. Xbox Wire notes that Ultimate includes EA Play, which also gets you 10% off eligible EA digital purchases. EA Play members can unlock the EA Play Deployment Pack and claim the Season 5 EA Pack in the game.

It is not on Game Pass Premium, so you need Ultimate on console or PC Game Pass on Windows.

Valor Mortis (October 13, day one)

A first-person action soulslike from the studio behind Ghostrunner. It launches straight into Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, and it is one of only two October additions so far that Xbox lists as Handheld-ready.

Bluey's Happy Snaps (October 15, day one)

A photo-based adventure set in Bluey's world that you can play solo or in co-op. It runs on Xbox One as well as Series X|S, so it is the easy pick for a family console.

Echo Weaver and Forever Ago (October 8, day one)

Both arrive today. Echo Weaver is a knowledge-based metroidvania built around a time loop, and Forever Ago is a single-player road trip adventure.

The rest of the day one lineup

• Deep Dish Dungeon (October 13): survival exploration with metroidvania and crafting, solo or co-op.
• Chained Beasts (October 15): a co-op gladiator roguelike for 1 to 4 players.
• Beyond These Stars (October 16, PC only): a city builder where you manage supply chains on the back of a space whale.

Neon Abyss 2 (October 8) is the one pick for Game Pass Premium members. It is a pixel-art roguelike action platformer, and it is not a day one launch.

Already Out This Month

Two first-party games landed on Game Pass in the last few days, both on day one:

• Gears of War: E-Day launched worldwide on October 6 for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, on Xbox Series X|S, handheld, PC and cloud. Early access started October 1 for Premium Edition owners and subscribers who bought the Premium Upgrade.
• Minecraft Dungeons II arrived September 29 for Ultimate and PC Game Pass, on cloud, console, handheld and PC.

Keeper also arrived on October 2 on Game Pass Premium, joining Ultimate and PC Game Pass, per Xbox's September 15 update. Our running list of new Xbox Game Pass additions collects everything added this month.

Games Leaving Game Pass on October 15

Nine games leave the library on October 15, 2026:

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is the big loss. If you are partway through it, you have one week. Your saves stay with your account after a game leaves, so buying it later lets you pick up where you stopped. Our Game Pass coming and leaving tracker lists upcoming departures as Xbox announces them.

Which Game Pass Plan Do You Need?

Xbox currently sells four Game Pass plans in the US: Essential, Premium, Ultimate and PC Game Pass. For October's additions, the split is simple:

• Game Pass Ultimate gets all nine October games on console, PC and cloud, plus EA Play, which matters for Battlefield 6.
• PC Game Pass gets all nine on Windows PC, including every day one launch.
• Game Pass Premium gets Neon Abyss 2 from this batch. Day one launches are an Ultimate and PC Game Pass feature.
• Game Pass Essential gets none of the October additions, only the in-game perks.

Prices vary by region and change from time to time, so check the current price on the official Xbox Game Pass page before you subscribe.
