These are scary decal IDs for horror builds in Roblox: jumpscare faces, Halloween pumpkins and haunted house signs, DOORS entities, creepy smiles and dolls, SCP art, and a set of cursed images. Every row has a preview so you can see the image before you copy the number.
Roblox removes moderated uploads at any time. If an ID shows a blank or grey preview in Studio, it has been taken down, so pick another one from the same section. The Favorites column is the number of Roblox users who saved that asset, which is a rough guide to how popular it is.

How to use a scary decal ID in Roblox
- Open your place in Roblox Studio.
- Select a part, then click + next to it in the Explorer and add a Decal.
- In Properties, paste the ID into Texture. Studio converts a decal ID into the image ID it wraps and fills in
rbxassetid://<imageId>for you. - Set Face to the side of the part the decal should show on.
For a jumpscare, use an ImageLabel inside a ScreenGui instead of a part, set its size to {1,0},{1,0}, keep it hidden, and show it from a script when the player touches a trigger part. Pair it with a loud sound for the full effect.
Games with an ID box, such as spray paint or custom image inputs, take the number only, without rbxassetid://. Our guide to Roblox image IDs explains the difference between decal IDs and image IDs.
Make a horror build feel scarier
- In Lighting, drop Brightness and Ambient close to zero and add Atmosphere with a high Density for fog.
- Put a dim red or orange PointLight near the decal so it is the only lit thing in the room.
- Hang face decals at eye level, at the end of a corridor or behind a door the player has to open.
FAQs
What are the scariest decal IDs on Roblox?
By favorites, the box head cursed image, the bloody mouth face and the scary mask lead the page. Among the newer themes, SCP-096 and the DOORS entities Jack and Eyes are the most saved. Each section on this page is sorted by favorites, so the most-saved IDs are at the top.
Can I still use cursed decal IDs?
Yes. The cursed images now sit in their own section on this page. They are surreal or unsettling rather than frightening, which makes them good for troll rooms and hidden easter eggs.
Why does a scary decal show as a blank or grey square?
Roblox has moderated or deleted that asset. Horror images get flagged more often than most themes, especially gore. Swap in another ID from the same section.
Are the DOORS decals official?
No. They are fan uploads of the DOORS entities by community creators. They are public decals anyone can use in their own builds, but they are not made by LSPLASH, the studio behind DOORS.
Can I use these decals in any Roblox game?
You can place them in any place you own or can edit in Roblox Studio. In other people's games you can only use them where the game gives you an image ID box, such as a spray or sign tool.
