The best styles in Volleyball Legends right now are Shiro, Taichou, Timeskip Hinto, Timeskip Kyamo, Timeskip Okazu and Sanju. The best abilities are Shield Breaker, Magnetic Pull and Minus Tempo. Everything below those is a trade-off between position, rarity and how many spins you are willing to burn.
Volleyball Legends is the new name of Haikyuu Legends, made by Protori, and many styles were renamed along with it. This list uses the current names and gives the old name in brackets the first time it matters. The game was on Update 93 (released October 24, 2026) when we checked on October 31, 2026. Rarity and spin figures come from community wikis, the rankings are our own, built from the newest community lists we could find. Nobody on our side has tested these in game. Need spins? Use our Volleyball Legends codes page, which has the working Lucky Style Spin and Lucky Ability Spin codes.

Volleyball Legends style tier list

|---|---|---|
| S | Shiro, Taichou, Timeskip Hinto, Timeskip Kyamo, Timeskip Okazu, Sanju | Setting, spiking and all-round play on a ranked team |

Several rotating limited styles (Hidari, Ronin, Jinko, Kijo, Encho, Mikage, Kazana, Kisuki and others) are not in this table. The newest lists we read leave them out, so we cover them separately in the limited styles section below.
Every style, rarity and best position
Rarity comes from the Volleyball Legends community wiki and a styles guide. Positions are from the wiki, an October 5 tier list and a second community wiki. A dash means none of the sources we read gave a position.

Mamori, a middle blocker added in Update 92, is not ranked yet because the newest tier lists do not include it.
Spin chances by rarity
Every style of the same rarity shares one chance, so there is no separate number for each style. These are the rates one community spin calculator lists for Update 80, and a second wiki and a style guide agree on all but the Godly and Secret figures.
| Rarity | Style Spin (100 Yen) | Lucky Style Spin |
|---|---|---|
| Common | 62.5% | 0% |
| Rare | 35% | 50% |
| Legendary | 2% | 45% |
| Godly | 0.49% | 4.5% |
| Secret | 0.01% | 0.5% |
| Ultra and Evo | 0.005% | 0.25% |
- Pity: every 50 spins gives a bonus roll at a high rarity. Secret has its own pity, with a coin flip on the chosen Secret every other 200 Lucky Spins and a guaranteed one 200 spins after that.
- Weekend event: during the 2x Luck weekend, Secret and special-rarity odds are doubled and the pity count is cut. The Update 93 event (October 24 to 26) raised Secret from 0.5% to 1% on Lucky Spins and dropped Secret pity from 200 to 100.
- Level 15 is needed to use Secret, Ultra and Evo styles.
S tier: the styles to spin for
Shiro is the newest top pick. The newest tier list we read describes it as built around defensive stances (Slam or Boost), and the community wiki lists it as a setter and blocker. We could not find its rarity in any source we read.
Taichou is a Secret setter with a bonus on sets that lets you steer where your spiker attacks. Both of the newest lists put it at the top.
Timeskip Kyamo and Timeskip Okazu are the best setters when you can get them. Timeskip Kyamo is strong at serving, setting and jumping. Timeskip Okazu jumps, serves and sets well but is weaker at blocking. A community wiki lists both as legacy limited styles, so check the in-game style menu to see whether they are still obtainable.
Timeskip Hinto is a spiker with high jump and spike power, with weaker setting. It is the usual pick when you want to be the main attacker.
Sanju is a spiker with strong jump, spike and tilt, and weaker serving and movement. A community wiki says it is often discussed as a permanent style.
A tier: strong and easier to get
The Twins is a Secret all-rounder that has two forms: Okuro (jumping, spiking and blocking, weak setting) and Akuto (setting and serving, weak blocking). It is limited, and the last window the wiki lists ended in April 2026.
Okazu and Kyamo are Godly setters and are not limited, so they are the best style you can chase without waiting for a rotation. Okazu is the more balanced of the two. Kyamo has better movement.
Bakuri is a Godly spiker with strong jump, spike and serve, but weak speed and setting. Hirakumi is a Godly blocker with great jumping, blocking and serving, but very limited movement.
Uchikai is the best Legendary style. It is a balanced spiker with good spike power and blocking, and it moves well, but it has no best-in-class serve and weak setting.
B, C and D tier: mid-game and starter styles
Kozei and Azmei are Legendary spikers. Kozei jumps, blocks and serves well, but has low speed. Yokai moves and receives well, but has a weak serve and spike. Sazuroku is a setter and defender with good bumping and diving. Yogan is a Secret style, but it sits in B tier because its strengths are receiving and building up Rage Mode, rather than raw output (one list we read has it as low as C tier).
Ninyoku is the only Rare style the newest lists put above C tier. It is a good bumper and diver. Everything in C and D is for filling a slot while you spin for something better.

Limited and rotating styles
Some of the strongest styles come and go on banners. According to a community wiki, as of October 31, 2026:
| Style | Rarity | Position | Availability |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kijo | Secret | Spiker | Returned October 24 to November 7, 2026 (Update 93) |
| Jinko | Secret | Spiker | Returned in Update 90, October 3 to 17, 2026 |
| Hidari | Secret | Spiker | Limited return began in Update 80 (July 25, 2026) |
| Encho | Evo | All-rounder | Last returned in Update 76 (June 27, 2026) |
| Twins | Secret | All-rounder | Last window April 4 to 11, 2026 |
| Ronin | Ultra | Spiker | Usually a limited Ultra banner |
| Mikage | Secret | Blocker | Returned March 21 to April 4, 2026 |
Older community lists from before the summer rank Ronin, Hidari, Jinko and Kijo at the very top. The newest lists leave them out, because they are not always available. If one of them is in the shop, it is worth taking. Ultra and Evo styles also progress through Mastery or Ranked quests instead of only through spins.
Volleyball Legends ability tier list
Abilities are a second spin. The cost of an Ability Spin is reported at 250 Yen, and the rates match the style table for Legendary (2% normal, 45% Lucky), Godly (about 0.5% and 4.5%) and Secret (0.01% and 0.5%). Your ability bar fills about 6% each time you touch the ball, so choose one you can use at the right moment, rather than every time it is ready.
The ability lists we found are older than the style lists. The newest is a September 2026 wiki that calls Shield Breaker and Magnetic Pull the current top picks. Rarities and descriptions are from an ability list dated November 24, 2025, with one change noted in the disagreement section.
| Tier | Ability | Rarity | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| S | Shield Breaker | Secret | Your next spike passes through most blocks |
| S | Magnetic Pull | Secret | Pulls the ball into your spike range from about 10 studs away |
| S | Minus Tempo | Secret | Makes very fast sets for your spiker |
| A | Redirection Jump | Godly | Change your angle mid-air, so you can fake one side and spike the other |
| A | Curve Spike | Godly | Your next spike curves in the direction you tilt |
| A | 4th Touch | Secret | Gives your team an extra touch |
| A | Steel Block | Legendary | Makes your block hold up and counters Shield Breaker |
| B | Zero Gravity Set | Legendary | Freezes the ball so a spiker gets a clean shot |
| B | Boom Jump | Rare | Raises your jump height |
| B | Super Sprint | Common | A big speed boost for about 4 seconds |
| B | Divine Strength | Godly | Increases spike power |
| C | Team Spirit | Common | Speed boost for the whole team |
| C | Moon Ball | Rare | Lifts the ball high, and it drops fast |
| C | Rolling Thunder | Common | Longer dives |
Lead Feet is a newer Secret movement ability that cancels your momentum. No list we read ranks it yet, so it is not in the table.
Best ability by position:
- Spiker: Shield Breaker if you play 6v6 and want to beat the middle block. Magnetic Pull if you play 3v3 and have the timing for it.
- Setter: Minus Tempo. It is built for setters feeding fast spikes.
- Defender: Steel Block if you expect Shield Breaker from the other team, otherwise Super Sprint.
- Beginners: Boom Jump is a Rare ability that is easy to roll and still useful.
How styles and abilities work
- Style Spins cost 100 Yen. Lucky Style Spins come from the Season Pass, codes, Robux, Easter eggs or gifts. Lucky Ability Spins also come from codes, such as the TOURNAMENT code on our codes page.
- The game updates on Saturdays at 11:30 AM Eastern, and each update can rebalance a style or ability, which is why lists age quickly.
- Free spins are in our Volleyball Legends codes page. Redeeming needs Level 15. Playing another Roblox volleyball game? Our Beyond Volleyball League codes page tracks its codes.
- If you like tier lists for other Roblox sports and fighting games, see our Shindo Life element tier list, and the codes pages for Blue Lock Rivals and Basketball Zero.
Where community tier lists disagree
The lists we read are not on the same version of the game, and they do not agree.
- Top styles. The two newest lists (October 5 and October 28, 2026) put Shiro and the Timeskip styles at the top. A list from summer 2026 puts Ronin, Hidari, Jinko, Timeskip Hinto and Timeskip Kyamo in S tier, and another from April 2026 has Ronin, Timeskip Kageyomo and Sanu at the top. These are not wrong, they are from before Shiro and with different limited styles in the shop.
- Naming. Many styles have a new name and an old name, and sources mix them (Kuzee and Kozei, Oigawa and Okazu, Sanu and Sanju). The renamed versions here follow the newest list.
- Akari. The community wiki lists Akari as an Ultra all-rounder, while an April 2026 list has it as a Rare in C tier, and the October 5 list has it in S tier as a ninja style. We left it out of the table until its rarity is clear.
- Curve Spike. The November 2025 ability list and the October 2026 wiki call it a Godly ability. An older list has it as Legendary. We went with Godly. Rankings also range from the very top (the 2025 list) to A tier (newer lists).
- Steel Block and Moon Ball. One list says Steel Block is Common and Moon Ball is Legendary, but the November 2025 list has Steel Block as Legendary and Moon Ball as Rare. We used the November 2025 figures.
- Secret odds. Some pages say a Secret style is 0% on a normal spin and others say 0.01%. We used 0.01%.
Our tiers lean on rarity and the current meta, so they are a spending guide and not a skill ceiling. Playing your position well matters more than rarity.
FAQs
What is the best style in Volleyball Legends?
For October 2026, Shiro, Taichou, Timeskip Hinto, Timeskip Kyamo, Timeskip Okazu and Sanju are the top picks. Which one is best depends on whether you play setter, spiker or blocker.
Is Haikyuu Legends the same as Volleyball Legends?
Yes. Haikyuu Legends was renamed Volleyball Legends, and many styles were renamed too. Our codes page keeps the old Haikyuu Legends URL.
What is the rarest style in Volleyball Legends?
Ultra and Evo are listed at 0.005% on a normal Style Spin, below Secret at 0.01%. Many Secret styles are also limited, which makes them harder to get.
What is the best ability in Volleyball Legends?
Shield Breaker, Magnetic Pull and Minus Tempo are the three top abilities in the newest lists. Shield Breaker suits spikers in 6v6, and Minus Tempo suits setters.
What is the best style for a setter?
Taichou, Timeskip Kyamo and Timeskip Okazu are the best Secret setters. Okazu and Kyamo are the best setters that are not limited.
How do you get Lucky Style Spins?
Lucky Style Spins come from the Season Pass, developer codes, Robux, Easter eggs and gifts from players. Check our Volleyball Legends codes page for the current ones.
Do spin chances change per style?
No. All styles of one rarity share a chance, so a Secret style is 0.01% on a normal spin and 0.5% on a Lucky Spin, whichever Secret it is.
