Best Fisch Rods (November 2026): Ranked by Stage

The best Fisch rod depends on how far you are. Early on, buy the Steady Rod. In the mid game, the Trident Rod is the classic money rod. In the late game, the Rod of the Depths, Heaven's Rod and Kraken Rod lead the shop-bought options, and at the very top the Ethereal Prism Rod and the free level-reward rods are what most players aim for.

This list covers the rods you can work towards in Fisch, made by Fisching on Roblox. The newest content we could confirm when we checked on October 31, 2026 was the FischFright 3 Halloween update (October 17, 2026), which sits on top of the Astral Observatory update (version 1.98, August 22, 2026) and a September 26 Boat Racing update. Every figure below comes from dated community rod lists and guides, and we say where they disagree. We did not test these rods in game. How to read the rod stats

• Lure speed: how fast fish bite after you cast. A higher number is better, and some cheap rods are negative.
• Luck: raises your chance at rare fish. Rare-fish hunters should prioritize this stat.
• Control: makes the catch bar in the minigame easier to steer. Higher is better.
• Resilience: how well the catch bar holds up when the fish pulls back. Higher is better.
• Prices are in Fisch's main currency (C$) unless marked E$ (Second Sea). A dash means the sources we read do not list that stat, so we left it out.

Best rod by stage at a glance

Early-game rods

Your first goal is a bigger catch bar, not luck. The Steady Rod costs 7,000 C$ and trades lure speed for resilience, which makes the minigame much more forgiving.

The Carbon Rod is the cheapest sensible first upgrade. The Steady Rod is the one we would save for, since it is the early-game pick in a January 2026 community rod list as well. The Nocturnal Rod has the best luck of the three, but little control to go with it.

Mid-game rods

These rods cost tens or hundreds of thousands. Several come from the Northern Expedition event area, which is why they are listed by location.

Trident Rod is the standout. It has the best luck of any mid-game rod. Two guides also list five relics as part of the unlock, so bring them. The Mythical Rod is a money pick because it has a chance to turn catches into Rainbow fish. The Avalanche Rod is a cheap, solid option while you save.

Late-game rods

Late-game rods mostly cost between 750,000 and 2,000,000 C$. Luck jumps past 130%, and control starts to matter more.

Rod of the Depths has the hardest unlock. One guide from 2024 lists a full Vertigo bestiary, a Depths Key and a puzzle, and a March 2026 guide lists a hexed relic, an abyssal enchant relic and the Underwater Maze. It also gives a bonus fish every third catch. Heaven's Rod has the highest luck here. Kraken Rod is the better all-rounder, with 60 lure speed and 185% luck.

Endgame rods

At this stage you either pay millions or complete long quests. Two of the best rods are free but need a high player level.

Ethereal Prism Rod is the top paid rod in the lists we read, thanks to 95 lure speed, 195% luck and a high control stat at once. The No-Life Rod is the easy free win at level 500.

Masterline is the strongest rod in these lists, but it asks for a complete Bestiary and Rod Journal, so it is a long-term goal rather than a purchase. Tidemourner, Requiem and Chasm-Stalker are the newer Tidefall-era and Obsidian Trench rods, and we only found them in one or two guides each, so treat their stats with extra care. The Seraphic Rod (level 1000 reward) also sits in the top tier of both lists, but the sources disagree on its stats (see below).

New limited-time rod: Dutchman's Rod (FischFright 3)

FischFright 3 added several Halloween rods on October 17, 2026. An October 27 community guide lists the Dutchman's Rod as the hardest, with 100 lure speed, 180% luck, 0.1 control, 10% resilience and infinite max weight. It is limited-time, so it will go away when the event ends.

To get it, you reach Hex Stage III at Beatrix's Cauldron in Caustic Hallow (75 total Hex Energy and 40% bestiary completion), clear five prerequisite rituals, collect 10 offerings and pay Frankenstein 100 Treats.

The other FischFright 3 rods (Boglin Branch, Eldritch, Webweaver) are event rods too. We only found unlock steps for them, so we left their stats out.

Which rod should you buy first?

1. Carbon Rod at Moosewood while you learn the minigame.
2. Steady Rod at Roslit Bay for a wider catch bar.
3. Trident Rod in the Desolate Deep once you have around 150,000 C$.
4. Rod of the Depths, Heaven's Rod or Kraken Rod when you can afford the late game.
5. No-Life Rod at level 500, then save for the Ethereal Prism Rod.

Where community lists disagree

• Seraphic Rod: one list gives it 95 lure speed, 150% luck, 0.25 control and 20% resilience. An October 6 list gives 100 lure speed and 225% luck. We left it out of the tables for that reason.
• Poseidon Rod: one list prices it at 1,750,000 C$, another at 1,555,555 C$, so we left it out.
• Trident Rod lure speed: two lists give 20, a March 2026 list gives 35. We use 20, where three sources agree.
• Heaven's Rod: most lists give 225% luck, and one gives 250%. Another lists lure speed 30 while a March list says 40.
• Fortune and Arctic Rod: the January 2026 list and a second list give different numbers (Fortune luck 110% vs 200%, Arctic luck 65% vs 45%), so we skipped them.
• Requiem: one source says it is crafted at the Sunken Reliquary for 15,000,000 C$, another says it comes from the Magical Diver questline.
• Rod rankings: the best rod overall changes between guides. Some say Ethereal Prism, others Masterline or a Level 1000 quest rod. We rank by what you can realistically reach at each stage.
