- Secret Santa tips for Indian offices
Office Secret Santa has one hard rule: stay inside the budget. In most Indian offices that means Rs 500, and closer teams often go up to Rs 1,000. The trouble is that most gifts in that range are either chocolates or no-name gadgets that break by January.
This list sticks to known brands with a warranty and a service network in India: Logitech, boAt, Portronics, Ambrane, Wipro, SanDisk and Zebronics. Every pick is something a colleague can use at their desk or on their commute, whoever they turn out to be.
- Prices are the selling prices we saw on Amazon.in or the brand's own store. They change almost every day, so treat them as a guide.
- Amazon's Great Indian Festival starts October 8 and Flipkart's Big Billion Days starts October 9. Many of these drop further in those sales, so you can buy early and keep the gift for December.
- Memory prices went up sharply in 2026. A 64GB pen drive or microSD card now costs well over Rs 1,000, so we left most storage gifts out.
- Safest under Rs 500: Logitech B170 wireless mouse (about Rs 445) or Portronics Hexa 22 laptop stand (about Rs 377).
- Fun under Rs 500: Portronics Ruffpad LCD writing pad (about Rs 199).
- Most useful under Rs 1,000: Portronics Luxcell B 10K power bank (about Rs 849).
- For music lovers: boAt Airdopes Joy v2 earbuds or Rockerz 113 neckband (about Rs 799 each).
- Quiet office: Logitech M221 silent mouse (about Rs 725).

How we picked
- Known brands only. Every pick has a brand warranty in India. We skipped the unbranded lamps, desk mats and gadgets that fill search results at Rs 149.
- Works for anyone. Secret Santa means you may not know the person well. We chose gifts that do not need a size, a taste in music or a specific phone.
- Real prices, not MRP. Indian listings show a high MRP and a much lower selling price. We list the selling price we saw, because that is what you pay.
Under Rs 500
Rs 500 is the most common office limit. These gifts look and feel like more than they cost.
Portronics Ruffpad 8.5M LCD writing pad

Image: Portronics
Who it suits: anyone. It gets passed around the office on the day of the exchange.
Why: it is a thin colour LCD pad for quick notes, to-do lists and doodles in meetings. One button wipes it clean, so there is no paper waste. At about Rs 199, it leaves room in the budget for chocolates.
What to skip: nothing is saved. Once you erase it, the note is gone.
- Runs on
- Coin battery, no app needed
- Skip if
- They want notes they can save
- Price
- about Rs 199
Portronics My Buddy Hexa 22 laptop stand

Image: Portronics
Who it suits: anyone who works on a laptop all day, at the office or at home.
Why: it lifts the screen closer to eye level, with seven height settings and a base that turns. Colleagues who complain about neck pain will use it from day one. Portronics' own store listed it at Rs 399.
What to skip: it is plastic, so it is not ideal for heavy 16 or 17-inch gaming laptops.
- Runs on
- Laptops up to about 15.6 inches
- Skip if
- They work on an external monitor
- Price
- about Rs 377
Logitech B170 wireless mouse

Image: Logitech
Who it suits: laptop users who still use the touchpad.
Why: Logitech is the name people trust for mice, and the B170 just works. Plug in the tiny USB receiver and it is ready, on Windows, Mac or Chromebook.
What to skip: the clicks are not silent. For an open-plan office, the M221 below is quieter.
- Runs on
- Any laptop with a USB-A port
- Skip if
- They already use a good mouse
- Price
- about Rs 445
boAt BassHeads 100 wired earphones

Image: boAt
Who it suits: everyone who has ever lost their earphones before a call.
Why: wired earphones never need charging and work with every laptop. A spare pair in the desk drawer is always useful.
What to skip: newer phones have no 3.5mm jack. For those, boAt's BassHeads 300C with a USB-C plug costs about Rs 499.
- Runs on
- Phones and laptops with a 3.5mm jack
- Skip if
- Their phone has no headphone jack
- Price
- about Rs 299
Ambrane 4-in-1 fast charging cable (AC4CL-15)

Image: Ambrane
Who it suits: shared desks, where one person has an iPhone and the next has Android.
Why: one cable has both USB-A and USB-C on one end and USB-C and Lightning on the other. It charges almost any phone from almost any charger.
What to skip: it is not meant for laptops. The Stuffcool cable in the next section handles 60W.
- Runs on
- USB-A or USB-C chargers, iPhone and Android
- Skip if
- They need fast laptop charging
- Price
- about Rs 299
Portronics MoBot III phone stand

Image: Portronics
Who it suits: people who take video calls on the phone or keep an eye on messages while they work.
Why: it holds the phone upright at a good viewing angle and turns a full circle. It also looks neat on a desk.
What to skip: if you want to spend less, the simpler MoBot 4 costs about Rs 249.
- Runs on
- Most phones
- Skip if
- They already have a phone stand
- Price
- about Rs 299
Zebronics Pixie Bluetooth speaker

Image: Zebronics
Who it suits: the colleague who plays music at their desk or in the kitchen at home.
Why: a 5W speaker from a known Indian brand for under Rs 500. It also takes calls and can pair with a second Pixie for stereo sound.
What to skip: it is small, so do not expect deep bass. With Rs 1,000 to spend, boAt's Stone 180 (about Rs 899) is louder and splash resistant.
- Runs on
- Any Bluetooth phone, microSD slot
- Skip if
- Sound quality matters to them
- Price
- about Rs 449
Portronics Mport 30 Plus card reader

Image: Portronics
Who it suits: the office photographer, drone flyer or action-cam person.
Why: it reads SD and microSD cards over both USB-C and USB-A, and doubles as a case to carry spare cards. It is a thoughtful gift for the right person.
What to skip: it is a niche gift. If you do not know the person, pick a mouse or a cable instead.
- Runs on
- USB-C and USB-A ports, SD and microSD cards
- Skip if
- They do not use a camera
- Price
- about Rs 449
Under Rs 1,000
With Rs 1,000 you can buy real wireless audio, a power bank or a smart home starter.
Logitech M221 silent wireless mouse

Image: Logitech
Who it suits: anyone in an open-plan office or on late-night calls at home.
Why: the clicks are almost silent, so nobody hears them on a call. Logitech rates the battery at about 18 months, so they will forget it even needs one.
What to skip: it uses a USB receiver, not Bluetooth. Laptops with only USB-C ports will need an adapter.
- Runs on
- Any laptop with a USB-A port
- Skip if
- They need Bluetooth or multi-device switching
- Price
- about Rs 725
Portronics Luxcell B 10K power bank (10000mAh, 22.5W)

Image: Portronics
Who it suits: commuters, frequent travellers and anyone whose phone dies by evening.
Why: 10,000mAh charges most phones about twice, and 22.5W fast charging is quick enough to matter. It is slim enough for a bag pocket. Portronics' own store listed it at Rs 999.
What to skip: the Mi Power Bank 4i now costs about Rs 1,499, over this budget. The Ambrane Capsule 10K (about Rs 899) is a good alternative.
- Runs on
- USB-C and USB-A phones, earbuds
- Skip if
- They already carry a power bank
- Price
- about Rs 849
boAt Airdopes Joy v2 wireless earbuds

Image: boAt
Who it suits: colleagues still using wired earphones who would like to go wireless.
Why: a 2026 model from India's biggest audio brand, with up to 35 hours of playback including the case and clear call audio. Real wireless earbuds for under Rs 1,000 feel like a generous gift.
What to skip: there is no noise cancelling. These are entry-level earbuds.
- Runs on
- Any Bluetooth phone
- Skip if
- They already use AirPods or better earbuds
- Price
- about Rs 799
boAt Rockerz 113 Bluetooth neckband

Image: boAt
Who it suits: people who take many calls or travel by metro or bike.
Why: a neckband is hard to lose, the battery lasts up to 40 hours, and it connects to a phone and a laptop at once. The magnetic buds switch it off when they click together.
What to skip: if they prefer small earbuds, pick the Airdopes Joy v2 above.
- Runs on
- Any Bluetooth phone, pairs with two devices
- Skip if
- They dislike neckbands
- Price
- about Rs 799
Wipro 9W Wi-Fi smart LED bulb (B22)

Image: Wipro
Who it suits: anyone curious about smart home gadgets, or anyone who likes a mood light in their room.
Why: it changes colour and brightness from a phone, and works with Alexa and Google Assistant voice commands. It is the cheapest way to try a smart home.
What to skip: most Indian homes use the B22 push-in holder, but check. The Philips WiZ 10W (about Rs 569) is a good alternative.
- Runs on
- B22 holder, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, Alexa or Google Assistant
- Skip if
- Their lamps use screw-in E27 holders
- Price
- about Rs 589
Stuffcool Quad Pro 4-in-1 braided cable (60W)

Image: Stuffcool
Who it suits: people who carry one cable for the phone, tablet and laptop.
Why: a metal braided 1.5m cable that charges at up to 60W, enough for most USB-C laptops. It feels far sturdier than the cable in the phone box.
What to skip: the warranty on the listing is six months, shorter than some others here.
- Runs on
- USB-A and USB-C chargers, phones and laptops up to 60W
- Skip if
- They only need a basic phone cable
- Price
- about Rs 649
SanDisk Cruzer Blade 32GB pen drive

Image: SanDisk
Who it suits: offices where files still move by pen drive, and anyone who prints at a local shop.
Why: SanDisk is the brand people trust for storage, and it comes with a five-year warranty.
What to skip: it is USB 2.0, so large files copy slowly. A 64GB drive costs over Rs 1,000 in 2026.
- Runs on
- Any USB-A port
- Skip if
- They need fast or large storage
- Price
- about Rs 650
Portronics GlowTime LED alarm clock

Image: Portronics
Who it suits: anyone, for a desk or bedside table.
Why: a clean digital clock that also shows the room temperature. It is a neutral gift that works for any colleague.
What to skip: people who rely only on their phone for alarms may not use it.
- Runs on
- USB power
- Skip if
- They use their phone as an alarm
- Price
- about Rs 699
Portronics Tixie countdown timer

Image: Portronics
Who it suits: the colleague who talks about focus, the Pomodoro method (25 minutes of work, then a short break) or cooking times.
Why: you flip it to one of 12 preset times and it starts counting down. It gets a laugh when it is opened, and then it actually gets used.
What to skip: it is a novelty. For a safer choice, pick the mouse or power bank.
- Runs on
- No app, battery powered
- Skip if
- They are not into productivity gadgets
- Price
- about Rs 649
Portronics Toofan X Lite USB fan

Image: Portronics
Who it suits: offices in South and West India, or anyone whose desk is far from the AC.
Why: a quiet BLDC fan with five speeds that runs from a laptop's USB port. It can sit on the desk or hang from a hook.
What to skip: in a North Indian December, a fan can feel like an odd gift. Save it for a summer birthday.
- Runs on
- USB power from a laptop or charger
- Skip if
- Your office is cold in December
- Price
- about Rs 649
Gifts we skipped (and why)
- 64GB pen drives and microSD cards. Memory prices rose sharply in 2026, so a SanDisk 64GB Dual Drive now costs about Rs 1,359 and a 64GB Ultra microSD about Rs 1,600.
- Mi Power Bank 4i. About Rs 1,499 now, over this budget.
- USB LED lamps and cheap desk mats. Almost all options under Rs 300 are unbranded, with no warranty.
- Anything that needs a size. T-shirts, smartwatch straps and phone cases are hard to get right for a colleague you do not know well.
Secret Santa tips for Indian offices
- Agree on one hard cap. Rs 500 is the most common office limit and Rs 1,000 suits smaller teams. One clear number stops anyone from overspending or underspending.
- Buy in October, gift in December. Prices in the Great Indian Festival (from October 8) and Big Billion Days (from October 9) are often lower than in December. Neither Amazon.in nor Flipkart has announced December sale dates yet. Our Amazon vs Flipkart sale guide compares the two.
- Order by mid-December. Courier delays pile up before Christmas, especially outside metros, and some office mailrooms close for year-end leave.
- Keep it anonymous. On Amazon.in, mark the order as a gift at checkout. The packing slip then hides the price and can carry an unsigned message. Send it to the office address with "Secret Santa" and the person's name.
- Remove the price, keep the warranty. Peel off the price sticker, but tape the invoice or warranty card inside the box so they can claim a repair.
- Check prices before you buy. A tracker shows if a "deal" is real. See our Amazon price tracker guide.
