Apple showed iOS 27 at WWDC in June 2026 and released it to everyone on September 14, 2026. Along with Siri AI, it brought a new set of wallpapers: flowing, layered shapes that fold like paper, in several colors.
We have six colors from the set: Purple, Blue, Teal, Gold, Brown and Ink. Most are 1320 x 2868 pixels, the size of the iPhone 17 Pro Max and 18 Pro Max screens. Purple and Teal are 1206 x 2622.

Which color should you pick?
- Purple: the boldest of the set, bright violet with a hint of pink.
- Blue: a calm sky blue. It works with almost any icon color.
- Teal: deep green to aqua.
- Gold: soft champagne. Light and clean, but dark text and icons read best on it.
- Brown: warm tan and copper tones.
- Ink: near-black navy. The best pick for dark mode and OLED screens.
To match your widgets and icons to the wallpaper, see our guides to customizing your iPhone home screen and using a different wallpaper on the lock and home screen.
How to set the wallpaper on iPhone
- Save the image to Photos.
- Open Settings, tap Wallpaper, then Add New Wallpaper.
- Choose Photos, pick the image and tap Add.
- Set it as a pair, or customize the Home Screen separately.
You do not need iOS 27 to use these. They work on any iPhone, and on Android phones too.
