Coin Master Pets Guide: Foxy, Tiger, Rhino and Axel Explained

Coin Master has four pets that give you passive bonuses during attacks, raids and defense. Each pet needs food to stay active, and levelling them up increases their bonus percentage. Here is everything you need to know.

The Four Coin Master Pets

Foxy

When it activates: During raids.

Foxy digs up an extra item from the village you are raiding on top of your normal haul. At level 1 she adds a small bonus. By higher levels, the extra coins she finds can be significant.

Foxy is the first pet most players unlock and the one that pays off fastest. If you are focused on collecting coins, keep Foxy fed and active whenever you plan to use your raid spins.

Tiger

When it activates: During attacks.

Tiger multiplies the coins you steal when you attack another player’s village. The higher his level, the larger the multiplier. At max level, Tiger can nearly double what you take from a single attack.

Tiger pairs well with high-multiplier slots (x3, x5, x10). Combine Tiger with a big multiplier attack and you can pull enormous sums from a single spin.

Rhino

When it activates: When your village is being attacked.

Rhino gives you a percentage chance to block incoming attacks. He does not stop raids, only attacks. At lower levels the block chance is modest. At higher levels Rhino can block a large share of attacks, which is especially valuable when you are mid-build and cannot afford to lose coins to raiders.

Axel

When it activates: During raids.

Axel helps you find more loot during raids by sniffing out coins hidden in the village you are raiding. He is similar to Foxy in that he boosts raid rewards. Having both Foxy and Axel active during a raid gives you a bigger combined bonus.

How to Level Up Pets

Pets level up by feeding them pet XP treats and pet food. Both drop from events, gift boxes, and card set completions. You can also buy pet food in the in-game shop with real money, though there are enough free sources that most players avoid this.

Each pet has its own XP bar. Feeding one pet does not affect the others.

How Long Does Pet Food Last?

When you activate a pet with food, it stays active for 4 hours. After that it goes to sleep and gives no bonus until you feed it again. The timer only counts down when you are actively playing. It pauses when the app is closed on most devices.

Which Pet Should You Level First?

For most players:

  1. Foxy first : Raids are one of the best ways to build your coin stack, especially early in the game.
  2. Tiger second : Once you are regularly doing high-multiplier attacks.
  3. Rhino third : Becomes more important once you start holding large amounts of coins mid-build.
  4. Axel last : Useful but not essential until you are a more established player.

Tips for Getting the Most from Your Pets

  • Always have a pet active when you are on a spin session. Sleeping pets give you nothing.
  • Save your raid spins for when Foxy is active rather than burning them while she is asleep.
  • Check your pet timer before starting a long spin session so you do not run out mid-way.
  • Pet food from events is limited. Prioritise feeding the pet that matches what you are doing (Foxy for raids, Tiger for attacks).
